Subreal builds tools for addiction treatment and recovery. Those tools are only worth building if the people they are for help design them. We are building a lived-experience community and want people affected by addiction or recovery to help shape future research before study plans are finalised.
If you have lived through addiction — your own, or alongside someone close to you — you understand things no dataset captures. We want that understanding in the room while studies are being designed, not after the results are in.
Advisory contributions are compensated for your time. No diagnosis, paperwork or clinical history is required to take part in this track.
We are planning research into how neurological, physiological and psychometric signals change across recovery. Registering interest means we can contact you if an appropriately approved opportunity opens; it is not enrolment into a current study.
We will only contact you when there is a relevant opportunity or a request for lived-experience input.
We work with a small number of addiction services and research groups on pilots, co-authored outcomes and shared recruitment. If you treat patients or study them, there is a route in.
A short note is enough. We read every message personally and reply within a few working days. Nothing you send here commits you to anything.
